Should I Update To Windows 8.1 From Windows 7 Ultimate?

Yes and buy win 8.1 from G2A for $15 and you get windows 10 for free when it is released

no way wait for 10 8 although slighty faster is horrible and clunky

no. just wait if 10 is good and then switch to that if it is. if it isn't then..... maybe wait for another windows? lol microsoft will be stopping win7 support by then

How is it "horrible and clunky". Don't say "Because of Metro UI" because you can easily ignore that, not use it, or outright use Classic Shell.

How is it clunky..? Windows 7 in my university feels clunky after using windows 8 for a while.

How is it clunky..? Windows 7 in my university feels clunky after using windows 8 for a while.

metro ui enough said and the two different user interfaces metro and desktop just makes it a pain sinfce they both have different rules

It isn't.... Thats like telling people to not go from iOS to Android or vice versa because of how different it is. I personally like the Metro UI, as it shows more information and icons compared to a start menu. I believe it can be turned off anyway. Just because major changes were made, doesn't mean its clunky... When keyboard standard changed to QWERTY, it was clunky until people got used to it.

I don't ever turn on metro on my desktop, I have it set to boot to desktop so I never see it and on my 2 in 1 it's very good.

Typewriters are the reason why it is QWERTY. When it wasn't QWERTY, which was the early ages of typewriters, it jammed a lot. That's why it became a standard to move to, and still is the standard today. It was arranged alphabetically before I think.

i know the histroy of qwerty. 

what im saying is in the 13 years of the typewriterlife there was not a main standard. every maker had a diffrent layout. qwerty was the first standard
