Costing about AUD$1300 (not including windows and monitor) mostly bought from Amazon. I am mostly going to be playing games like planetside 2, TF2,  smite, guild war 2, league, arche age and crysis 3. The reason i went with a i7 is because i am going to end up doing quite a bit of CADING.

PS: If you could tell me a good 1080p monitor for a good price, that would be appreciated

Get a Z97 board if you're going with a Haswell Refresh CPU.

- Get MSI Z97-G55 SLI for the motherboard

- Either get a Hyper 212 EVO or a better AIO for the CPU cooler, budget AIO's are kinda bad

- Get http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f32133c9d8gxl instead for RAM. Much higher frequency and lower CAS latency. Can be quite helpful in content creation.

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

need a better quality PSU tbh... CX series are for basic builds and dont have stable power.. I recommend the Corsair RM850

He doesn't even need 850W

@Ruins

Agreed though. If you want a higher wattage PSU try looking at the EVGA G2 750W. That PSU is perfect.

I agree, I just like having extra power for upgrades and the RM fan will virtually never need to kick in as a result of the power :)

That does make them run a bit hotter though (Mainly an issue if fan side up).

Good AIO coolers come at a price. H105 with 2 SP120's is pretty good but also pretty expensive
