Im running 850w with dual 780's your fine :)

but why two 270x?

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

600W would be enough...provided it's a good quality unit.

im looking at a

CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W   here a link   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139011

Much overkill. A decent 600-650w is already more than enough. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-hive650

850 could handle 2 290xs in crossfire  and a 9590  xD

This.

Also, how many times am I gonna reference this....

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I'm running a Corsair TX750 with two 780Ti's, 64GB of RAM, and a 4930k over clocked to 4GHz (but under volted), 4 WD blacks, two SSDs, and 9 fans. Total power draw under load is around 670 watts at the wall if you have a good power supply, you shouldn't have too many issues.

And? Your point is?! Do remember at the time Jay had a 680  (which is far more efficient and weaker than a 290x let alone 2 of them) and a 3770k which is far more efficient and lower volted than a 9590 so didnt really disprove the fact of what I had said...

Edit: lol after the fact I noticed you were trying to say I was right and that the video was aimed back at OP not me xD

S'all right man.

But yeah, people seem to overestimate the amount of power they're gonna need. It's all too common because "it's a GAMING computer so it needs a LOT of power, right?"

Exactly especially lately people've been pissing me off cause of the whole Maxwell revolution I saw a thread the other day where some guy asked if 600w could power a single 290(they got on sale)  and a 4690k (not oced) and when asked why he thought it wouldn't work he said he heard AMD graphics cards waste lots of energy and that he already regret not getting a 980 cause he thought he'd have to get a giant PSU .... companies really should start including actual power consumption readings instead of just TDP and Minimum recommended powersupply (that usually recommends way too much it like 650w for a single card system)

Sad thing is, majority of builders could power their rigs off my Antec BP350....
