Pretty sure it's stated in the forum rules that the Hot deals can not be second hand / refurbished.

It's not clear.

How is it not? Refurbished doesn't mean second hand, and an h80 is a brand name item sold directly from what I consider to be a recognized etailer.

oh, I read that as "brand name items"

 

then refurb would fall under the more appropriate section of the grey area, for reasons I mentioned before since it's not actually addressed at all. I don't know how they never considered this or it was never brought up.

It was probably just never brought up. Something tells me the mods don't really watch Hot deals super closely

 

edit: because a "Hot deal" is kinda subjective, it's sorta hard to moderate beyond the basic rules as listed above
