I currently own a 570 twin frozr 3. Current pricing shows 970 @ £265-£300 and the 980 @ £420(Zotac)-£520+.

 

My question is, should i get 2x970s or save for a 980 ? Or even just get one 970 and use any extra cash i save for another ssd ?

You should be more than fine with one 970 since I assume you're playing at 1080p, 60hz.

If you go with another SSD, make sure it's big. Perhaps even a 1tb.

One 970 is a worthy upgrade imo.

 

The 980 is poorly priced in the UK, but if you felt you needed the extra performance, you could always go SLI in the future, but I doubt you will find that to be perfectly honest.

It depends how many fps you want to get at what resolution. If youre ok with 1080p 60FPS with current games, a 970 will do just fine

I've got a Zotac gtx 570 and it "died" twice already but always ended up working perfectly fine after I baked it. Last time I had to do it was like a year ago so it's kinda fine but my next card is going to be evga.
