That's great, but again, I don't exactly have time. Trust me, I would love to buy amd, but I am going to buy a card very soon. If I have to wait into November I simply won't wait.

I think that it's a bit annoying that all reviewers reviewed the 970 with the Titan cooler but you can't actually buy a 970 with that cooler it seems. The blower cards from PNY & EVGA have a cheaper, smaller heatsink.

Options seem a bit limited to three cards at the moment, the Gigabyte G1, MSI Twinfrozr V & Asus Strix are all excellent. Take your pick. For SLI I'd wait for the proper blower version to show up.

I found a review of the gigabyte 970. It was pretty glowing, but then again their 600w cooler is likely suitable for a dual 980 card...

You can buy them directly from Nvidia, just like Quadros.

Did anyone take a look at their gpu-fans? I think this time it sucks the air out of the sink instead of pushing it in.

04G-P4-2983-KR_XL_6.jpg

I don't think so, it's not as efficient a method at moving air over the fins so doesn't make sense for an open air cooler. Also if you look closely at the blade profiles they curve outwards, yes, which I think means much of the air is pushed outwards, but the twist is the correct orientation for downdraft.

This one looks like the best bang for the buck imo, if this review is legit.

OMG, the UK didn't get completely shafted on the price.

$340 for 970 ACX

£286 for 970 ACX

Normally with tech prices, it's $340 = £340. So i'll be saving up for a 970, seeing as it performs the same as a 780ti, and only costs half the price (at least it does here in the uk).

The 970 doesn't compare to a 780ti. Wat?

An OC'd 970 may come pretty close to a stock 780 Ti. Wait for more benchmarks.

EVGA 980 Hydro Copper for those of you that want Water Cooling.

I don't plan on doing this at all... This more of a random thought.

Do you think that putting green fabric of some kind in that cutout would cause any issues? I've seen people do that with back-plates with a decent amount of success.

I'd rather have all black or black with a little red accents. Maybe some silver/red (like my 7950).

Red is so overdone.

Hence why I said little red accents. If I could have a blackout edition of the Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5, I would, since there is too much red on it for my taste.

no red

Green, blue, white...sure. Speaking of which, more companies need to make white hardware/white accented hardware; and stop with all the red crap.
