Im using the free verson of AVAST, With the addon for Google Chrome it Will detect a known virus before it is downloaded through AVASTs library of files it has scanned on other computers.

I'm pretty sure you can get virussen without manually downloading. My Avast! blocks a lot of malware when I'm randomly browsing the web

Malwarebytes is antimalware, it's meant to be used alongside an antivirus I think. Avast is one of the best.

I used avg and avast at the same time for a few weeks, avast didn't pick up anything when avg detected 5 threats. I stick with avg and malwarebytes.

I use MSE, but also run Clamwin and MWB every few months as backup.

Haven't had a single virus in more than 5 years. Responsible browsing and torrenting goes a loooong way.

If it weren't for deliberately attaching other people's infected drives to my system for sorting them out, I wouldn't be using an antivirus at all.
