an awesome system would be dual r9 295x2s and a intel 5960x with aio liquid cooling in a micro atx lan rig

Yeah man, Evga has their x99 Micro board out too so its possible! Have you seen the coridium by digital storm? They have an awesome build with a 350D a custom water loop and but with the x79 platform and quadfire 295x2's

does anyone remember how the gpu manufacturers skipped gddr4 and went strait from gddr3 to gddr5

I would love to say yes to that but at that time a was.... A die hard console pleb.. :(( but i was saved the this community. haha

Those are GT cards, which predate the GTX line.

I am a huge mATX fan. Lets be honest, so few of us are going to use more expansion than an mATX board offers, the larger sizes are just taking up to much damn space. :)

 

I love my 350D. My only complaint with it is that you have to break out the Dremel tool in order to get the 5.25 bay's completely removed. I wish they were just riveted (or better yet screwed) into the chassis. But with the optical bays gone you can put two 280mm rads in it. :) Which is exactly my plan.

Oh man KEEP ME updated on that project when you start it! I would love to see that!

The GPU's are the most important part, as the GPU length determines the thickness of the radiator I can put in the front. I am hoping they are 10.5" offerings (like the DCUII 780's), because if they are, I can put a 280mm AlphaCool Monsta rad in push pull in the front. :)

Yeah I actually saw that, its got a cool looking 295x2 inspired single gpu casing. I personally love it. I was saying in another forum they should let the 390x although, i don't think they will be doing an aio cooler on it. I think it will be a fan like most other single gpu cards. But I think to capture the hearts of many. they should take the Radeon logo and make it rgb :)

yea but it would be awesome evgas board an overclocked 8 core extreme edition quad crossfire with 295x2's because titan z is overpriced and dual ssd's in raid 0
