how to pin windows on 2 monitors

Ok, so i have 2 monitors. my main in front, and a second in portrait mode on the left. i can pin windows on the right side of my main monitor, but cant pin the the left side on the same monitor since my mouse just goes onto

the second one.

same thing happens on the left monitor when i try to pin to the right side of it.

 

anyone know how i can do this?
