Anybody own a Nexus 5?

I wanted the old Moto X for some time but now that the new version is giant in my hands, that one went out the window for me. I've never held a Nexus in hand so i don't know an exact size comparison, but the Nexus is smaller (vertically) than the Samsung S5 which is what my dad has (and it's just too big for me...)

If not the Nexus 5, what phone should fit in my tiny hands? I would like Android phone and although I like the (now) old iPhone, I still want my Android customization.

It's a very similar size to the S4. Almost identical.

I love my N5 (mine's red though, which is too slippery unlike the black one) but check out the 2nd gen Moto G/X

Nexus 5 user here. It's a great phone, honestly no complaints so far but I've only been using it for a little over a month now. It's decently spec'ed, has a beautiful screen, looks sexy (IMO), runs Android 4.4, and it's relatively cheap.

If I had to make one small complaint about it, it would be the camera. I notice the camera takes a long time to focus and sometimes it doesn't focus properly and you have to tap the screen multiple times to get the phone to focus on what you want. I'm not sure if this is a fault on LG's side, or Google's, but it doesn't bother me that much. However if you're gonna be a heavy camera user and are one of those people that needs to whip out their phone and snap a photo at a moment's notice and have the camera focus immediately - you might have some problems.

Maybe it's just my phone, I don't know. I haven't really done much research about it, as I've already mentioned it doesn't bother me much. But overall it's a great phone and I would highly recommend it.

Just on a side note however, they're about to release/announce the Nexus 6/X (the successor to the 5) so I might wait until they do that before purchasing one.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

If you find the new Moto X too large, then you'll find the Nexus 5 too large. They're only 2mm or something apart.

If you want a flagship type feel, wait for the Z3 Compact. It packs a serious punch for such a small phone.

The Nexus 5 is a great phone but it is too big. I never got used to it and still struggle with one handed use. I think it's worth it though.

Try using a OnePlusOne @Langdon A Nexus 5 will feel like a small phone after that.

A nexus 5 is pretty much the same size as a s4, so you could go to a local carrier and test holding it to see if it is too big or not

I don't think I'll need to try. I can barely hold onto my Nexus 5 already. You don't know how many times I dropped it because my hands are too small to wrap around the phone when trying to use it one-handed. :P

I had an IPhone 4s and then switched to a Nexus 5, for the first week it seemed really big but after that it was fine, now when i hold one of the old IPhones they feel tiny.

Thing is, I have to two-hand an S5 to use it properly (dunno about the Nexus). An older iPhone is OK, but still a little small.

Well, because it's been recommended to me a few times, anybody know anything about the Z3 Compact? It's pretty much the same size as the old Moto X (yessssssh) but is Sony any good as a phone brand? Is it stock Android? Other stuff?

Nexus 5 is not that big but its not crazy compact either the Moto X 2013 is still a good choice to get i would suggest personally finding a Z1 Compact more than anything else since you want power and small phone so yeah either Moto X or Z1 Compact

I'm in the exact same boat. I love the size of the 2013 Moto X (and Moto G). My brother owns a Nexus 5, so it was easy to try one for few minutes. The Nexus 5 is quite larger than the 2013 Moto X. For that, I didn't like the Nexus 5. Finding a brand new 2013 Moto X in Canada is quite difficult, as Rogers stopped buying stocks since April.

I love to old Moto X size. It fits just right in my hand. As mentionned, other phones worth looking would be the Z Compact serie. The new Z3 Compact looks very good, on paper and on reviews.

Android L has a complete overhaul of the Camera API, if the stock camera app doesn't do you any good you can always download better ones. Android L October 15/16 2014
