Laptop or Desktop?

Go to solution Solved by APrettyCoolWalrus,

Guys this thread is a month old

i would only get a laptop over a desktop over as laptop if you are going to use it away from home most of the time. If it is just for an occasional lan party, a desktop would be a better choice.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

Before you spam "Desktop" I want to say a few things: My friend is considering getting a $1000 laptop over a $1000 desktop. He doesn't do anything extreme and he seems to be more worried about the LAN party aspect. The most demanding game he has in his library is Skyrim and he wants to play DayZ, but he usually plays easy platformers and TF2.

Just for LANs etc? Why not build an AIO using thei case

All the benefits of a laptop, because let's face it you probably won't be gaming on a track pad/laptop keyboard anyway,

Functionality of a desktop

Perfect.

Edit: just realised that this thread was necroed...
