LTT 3DMark Thread

@DanielNS84  Awww sweet.  Thanks for doing that.  Those are both my scores, but I wasn't certain there wasn't anyone higher than me with my configuration.  I'm super pumped now.

Ah nice! Congrats! Seems like a pretty hefty boost over stock! I think I'm getting close to top 1,000,000 for my configuration! :D

  • 3 weeks later...

WOOHOO!!! finally got onto a Hall of Fame list tonight after about 2 hours monkeying around with CPU and GPU OC settings!

99th in the world for Timespy single graphics card ?

Benchmark: TimeSpy
CPU: Core i9-9900K @ 5.3GHz
GPU: Nvidia Titan V
GPU: 2085 MHz
GPU Memory: 1064 MHz

Score: 15,354
3DMark Link : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/5210449

I might be able to squeeze more out of the CPU (5.3 gHz on 1.375v with LLC level 7), but that poor Titan V just won't do any more. In Afterburner I have core +215 and memory +214, might try again tomorrow since it passed an earlier run with +217 on the core, but even +215 on memory crashes immediately.

The part I'm happiest about is that this is in a fully assembled Define R6 case, with just a single 420mm thin radiator to cool both the CPU and graphics card - though looking at temps the 9900k is the only thing hitting a heat wall (during the runs it peaked at ~ 84 C) - the Titan V never got above 54 C.

Your CPU looks good for stock speeds...what brand/model of 1080 TI is that? Looking up the results for your config shows some significantly higher GPU results (Like https://www.3dmark.com/spy/5301846 which I assume isn't on LN2 or anything given the CPU)...not sure but it seems like it should be a bit higher. Maybe update your drivers and check PCIE speeds as well.

It is a stock Asus ROG nVidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti Strix 11GB. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and my PCIe speeds are reported at running at PCIe 3.0 x16.

What are your temps? Also, does MSI Afterburner report that your GPU clocks are turboing up properly during load?

I'm not at the PC now, but temps were in the 40s/50s during the Time Spy benchmark from what I remember. Clocks appear to be turboing up correctly.

Let's gooooooo @DanielNS84!!!

Hate you! I swear if you make me buy more stuff for my PC I'm gonna be angry. :D

But yeah, I'll see what I can do...Maybe I'll flash that Galax BIOS to my FE that's floating around to raise my power level.

Edit: Or...I just realized I can push this CPU to 5.3Ghz at higher voltages but it's not Prime95+AVX stable so I backed down but I bet I can get through a 3DMark...give me a little bit.

Ran this just for fun, I don't have the latest and greatest.  I am planning a PC Upgrade for this year though so looking forward to comparing my scores from now to then.  I built this PC 6 years ago and I know this hardware wasn't even top of the line back then.
