I was wondering, and this is for @LinusTech, @Slick, mods, and anybody who's been here since month 1. I was wondering, when did LTT change from vBulletin V5 to IP.Board v3? I see people that signed up in early May and have the "Junior" or Senior Member titles. But when I joined. I get newbie, or rookie, etc. I'll look later in the morning.

back in the earlier wan show days. Linus complained about how bad vBulletin is (or was it wordpress.. idk) but it was couple months after the forums were created. probably around last september. around 8-9 months after the forum was born. 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

If I remember correctly it was like 4 months or so after the forum was created before they switched to the IPB.

Can't remember it, but was like 2 years ago maybe? Could been a bit less.

I remember leaving the forum for its dreadful state (specially on mobile) and coming back when IP.Board V3 was running stable.

forum has only been up for only a year and 8 months

I follow Linus from the first days and I did left the forum for quite a while, but you are right, it hasn't been that long 

but it is coming close to it's second birthday.

So like April-Mayish that it got switched? Mods? @alpenwasser, @MG2R, @Windspeed36, @airdeano, @looney, if you were since the days of vBulletin, is it possible to tell me when they switched over to IP.Board?

Great Linus moved to IPB, loved it the first time I was in an IPB, it looks also much better. I hate these damn vBulletin forums!

But they look really similar.

yeah, transitioning wasn't that smooth...member titles, postcounts ...some things felt a bit of bump in the road...but the team stemmed it well, like we all can experience it every day ^^
