I personally think if your spending that much money for a motherboard to last long... just buy into x99 I mean other then ram it won't be too much more costly.

It's been great :) it's pretty surreal (in a good way) to work in an environment like this, and I appreciate every day of it!

And no, I think Linus has kinda mellowed out on the whole "firing" thing over the last little while :P

100% agree with Linus about gamefirst. It seemed like on my z97 hero that evertime i restarted my pc it would take 20 minutes to establish my connection.  I uninstalled it and has been working fine ever since.  I don't really mind though was it wasn't a feature i bought the board for just an extra one.  Love everything else about it though.  I don't see the value in this board besides the thermal armor looking cool and the optional watercooling though.

Personally I like the general appearance of the board and all the other current ROG boards, I'm just a sucker for a black and red finish. Just a bit of fan boying that's all :P

But, 4 fast cores are more important for the everyday user than  slower 6 cores, then again the regular user ain't buying the VII.

Great board, but the conclusion wasn't too special

 

BUT, I DID like the watercooling benchmarks. Good job at separating yourselves at LMG from the crowd of motherboard reviews!
