ok guys  this is my first post and ive had this problem for a while now, so i thought this would be the perfect place to ask.

anyways! so my pc has a cooling problem i have the cooler master sedion 120v and its not cooling my pc real well my idel temps are around 35-40 degrees Celsius  but when i play games it goes up to around 60 degrees.

my pc specs are:

cpu: amd fx 8350 (stock speed)

gpu: sapphire r9 280x dual x

mb: asrock 970 extreme edition

psu: coolermaster v750 semi modular 80 plus gold

case: coolermaster silenco 550

i think the problem is with the case as its very inclosed and the water cooler isnt powerful enough to cooler the case as most of the parts run hot naturally so should i upgrade my water cooler? if so what should i upgrade to ( keep in mind i can only use a single rad water cooler) or do you think the problem is somewhere else?

60C is not hot.

This. 60 is fairly average, if not on the lower end, for load. ESPECIALLY with a single rad.

so i should be fine running games at above recommended safe temps all the time? im fairly new to pc building and stuff so stilling learning whats safe and whats not

Well... until I overvolted and fried my 8150, my system ran just fine well over the "max" temps stated by AMD.

I'm not going to say "yes, you will never have a problem".. theoretically, anything over 60 could cause problems... but VERY rare are the cases when it actually happens.

I understand that you are worried but I asure you 60C when playing games is perfectly fine its not the best no of course not but its good and your CPU will not break! :)

That is actually good for this case. They are known to be ovens.

Wierd, I have the fx 8350 and a coolermaster Nepton 140xl. Ive tried every game and even prime95, I get max 33°C, 8°C on idle (~22°C room temp). My problem is the graphics card temps ^^. everyone have their problems lolz..

This is after days of running, playing lots of games. (I keep HWmonitor running always.) note: fanini1 is the pump, not a fan. idk why it says 4-5000rpm...

what fan are you using for push on your rad?

if its not static pressure optimized, you'd be better to switch the fans around and run you static pressure optimized fan(assuming its the stock fan that came with the AI1 WCL) in push and the case fan in pull. you should get a couple degrees lower temp.

i also notice you have a extra 5.25 drive bay available you could get a 5.25 to 3.5 adapter on ebay between 3-15$ (depending on the style you want) mount your HDD there and linus(tape or velcro) your SSD to the bottom of the case/on top of the HHD/ an area where your cables. then remove that drvie bay holder so you have a cleaner air flow. that should help too.

what fans do you have in the front of your case?

well the those aerocool shark are great as a case fan not so great for being on a rad. and same goes for the noctua s12b. so can't really switch those over either. i know your tight on cash but do you have any type of budget size that you could use for fans?

i recommend something like a silverstone fm121 or something similar. it has 3x more static pressure then the ACS. you don't have to get all the fans at once either. just pick one up here and there. but make the fan in push on the rad your first to be change out.

(i order fans on ebay usually cheaper that way, but pricing is always changing so saying a certain fan has best $$/performance ratio can change next week)

oh and you should be able to drop your ssd and hhd into the bottom driver bay. and remove the middle driver bay.
