GeForce GTX 980 starts listing in pricewatch engines (2560 Shaders, 160 TMUs, 64 ROPs)

BiG StroOnZ

There is too much hype surrounding this new card from Nvidia. The only possible benefit from this new card is a lower TDP. Being a pc enthusiast TDP is not something I worry about. I prefer raw performance power.

Based on these specs, it will be faster than the 780 Ti...

Lower TDP means lower temperatures, which equates to further overclocking with safe temps.

If it really has 4 times the performance of a 750Ti then this thing will be quite powerfull.

Oh don't go teasing people now :)

That'd be too much for folks to handle

Since i'm not into rumors or speculation. I will have a very cautious outlook and expect nothing but the bare minimum. I think a lot of people will be disappointed.

Test ideas by experiment and observation; build on those ideas that pass the test, reject the ones that fail; follow the evidence wherever it leads and question everything.

if there's only 2 6-pin power connectors, this thing could be pretty efficient. even my 760 has a 6-pin and 8-pin

Mine has only 2 6 Pins.
