an idea for an AR app

i was thinking about AR (Augmented reality)

and what we could do with it

 

so an idea popped up in my head

 

 

 u  could be walking down the street but with AR glasses you could be walking in a forest

 

or

 

adblock but for people

u would be walking around wearing AR glasses and u wont be able to see people  but it will intelligently tell you where they are so u dont bump into them (blue orbs or models instead)

 

any idea's u guys mind sharing ?

It would be awesome but the AR glasses would be able to reconice the stuff before it can "alter" them

this already works with most smart phones... i see people walking down the street all the time staring at their phones completely oblivious to the other people/cars around them.

The idea seems nice but the things that could go wrong. You could basically edit someones goggles to lure them into oncoming traffic, and leave absolutely no trace. 

Considering how it has the ability to replace something you see it also has the ability to hide things.

EDIT: And even when it is not tampered with it will "disconnect" the user from reality, not sure if turning people into zombies is such a good thing. 

Would be better if it just added a GUI to what you see, without the ability to hide anything in you FOV. The feeling of being iron-man, just without the suit.

That would be amazing, they couldn't talk to you and instead of their body you saw a darkened silhouette, kinda like locked characters in some games

AR will most likely be used to push ads...

 

The most useful AR application that I can think of right now is a HUD for when you're driving...

Keeps track of anything (large enough) that moves within 175 deg of your vehicle's center while predicting their path...
