You guys got any essential or just plan useful tech for student life?

First thoughts are an extra battery for mobile devices, and the chargekey; a micro usb to usb keychain

Even after leaving school, I have never understood why it is a necessity to have tech, like laptop at school. Nothing wrong with a pen and paper.

Schools, colleges and universities have computers that you can use. Buying one just for school, isn't really necessary.

Schools, colleges and universities have computers that you can use. Buying one just for school, isn't really necessary. 

Many universities require that you have internet access while in class as well. And I've had teachers use the uni web site for in class quizzes and if you couldn't take them in class you were SoL

School computers can be very crappy depending what school you go to. Alsotyping up a quick document during lunch time can be pretty handy

For college I have my laptop. However I study IT. I also bring my phone with me and some earphones.
