All this new ddr4 ram, 6 core cpus, x99 motherboards is amazing! I have 23 tabs open of youtube videos having interviews with companies about new boards and ram and stuff. I feel a new op build comming on! Anyone one else extremely excited?

Been looking at the new Asus X99-Deluxe and it has some god dam cool features. The one im impressed about is how there is a seperate fan module will will allow you to have 9 fans in your system without needing a fan controller. It has sensors to auto adjust the fan speeds.

It is meh for me.. I got myPC last year so only thing that excites me is HSA and low level API right now.

New platform launch =/= upgrade, unless you have a specific reason to, especially consider this is an enthusiast platform. 

 

It's about time as X79 was the latest for 4 years, but it's not a big deal to me.

Meh.. Waiting 'till prices drop. There's not really a point in having this at this point imo. I doubt software developers will be targeting CPU's like this anytime soon... (I'm probably wrong on this, but hey ^-^)

Personally I think 5820k is the best hexa core CPU even if we compare it to 5930k,it just few more cache and that is it.Then comes the 5960x

50$ for 2 more hyperthreaded cores
