i7-4790k or i5-4690k for gaming?

I'm buying my first gaming computer that i would like to be able to do video editing for my friend, so is the 4790k really worth the extra $130?

You can still video edit on the 4690k

the FX-8320/8350 would be better for editing though than 4690k

4690K will OC pretty well if you get a good cooler, making it surpass many other processors in performance, including the 8350.

Aesthetics of rigs matter

Clearly the 4690k is a winner but what about when i'm playing CPU intensive games like arma 2 and arma 3? How well would it hold out and would there but much of a performance impact if any?

If you are doing intense video editing or rendering the 4790k is worth it. But for gaming its not.

They aren't really any different for games, even CPU-intensive games.
