Going into high school, any tips?

So ive been in elementry school from grade k-8 and im finally getting out of that hell hole.

 

So im going into high school in 10 days and im kinda nervous yet excited at the same time.

 

any tips for freshman year (thats grade 9 right) of high school.

oh and study, you have no idea how important learning shit at school is... bla bla bla i know.. no.. no kid really knows.. even tho 80% of everything they teach you is useless..

Don't try to be someone you are not, be yourself and find the people whose interests match or come near matching yours. Always pay attention, do well and never lose sight of your goals. And try not to bother with girls until at least sophomore year.

I really enjoyed my freshman year, going into Sophmore. Just don't procrasinate, be yourself, and have fun with friends really. Best of luck

its not the same shit, in grade 8 was basically king now im going with at least 150 new kids

How old are you mate? I'm English, and don't understand the educational hierarchy over the pond. (in regards to grades, we use the term "years" in England, and the term 6th form college etc"

 

Also, generally you just need an easy going attitude, don't be meek, or try to be the alpha male. Just act laid back and down to earth, try and find people with similar interests in music or whatever floats your boat and go from there.

College is from the age of 16 to 18 here. Then university, if you have the bank account to compensate and really care about further education.

College is what you would consider junior and senior years at high school I believe, or years 12 and 13, just before you go to university or work or apprenticeships.

OP- Just be chill, your first year doesn't really matter(in the UK anyway), but stick in find the subjects you like, get to know your teachers and find out who this douche bags are so you know who to stay away from. Good luck bro

because they are different from the uk to the us and canada, and as far as i know most universitys only look at grades 10-12 not 9

Actually that's not what Scotland uses, I have no idea what 6th Form is, although i do agree with your approach to high school
