All of this. I'm entering my second year of high school and noticed a lot of people like to try to impress the upperclassmen. Don't do that. Don't put girls over grades. Just don't. Not worth it in the long run. As long as you're not obnoxious, you'll be fine. It's not too hard work wise, but I moved from Princeton to Wyoming so there might be some bias there.

Just be "chill" (hate that word) and nice. Study hard and you'll have a great time.

Depending on your ability to learn you do not have to do that much homework or studying. Use 1-3 days a week to finish all the stuff you got to do for school and have fun the other time!

Actually that's not what Scotland uses, I have no idea what 6th Form is, although i do agree with your approach to high school

Yea, unfortunately you'll see (or hear) a bunch about this in High School. Even though I don't do any of that, there will be a ton of people around you that do. I just got used to it and stopped caring about it.

If your experience is going to be anything like mine, forget trying to learn something usefull because your not going to. Instead just try to survive it with good grades.

 

And since you are going to be stuck doing the same stuff for years, why not have a little fun while your at it? Find a group of friends and stick with them.

i was really bored with wood shop last year so i took home ec this year
