Asus Maximus VI/VII Impact USB 2.0 headers

Go to solution Solved by airdeano,

I've checked recently and there's no way that the cable supplied with the PSU will link to the H100i.

In the image above the connector marked as "Connects to the cooler's link interface" connects to the Corsair Link in the image.

So I guess I will have to choose between the PSU or COOLER to connect to the USB 2.0 header. :(

are you sure?

How many USB 2.0 headers the Asus Maximus VI/VII Impact have?

If it's only 1, how can I connect my Corsair H100i and Corsair AX860i at the same time?

1 USB 2.0 Header. Since the H100i is using mini usb you can run a miniusb cable to the back of your case and into a USB port or if you are not using USB 3.0 you can use a USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter and go that way.

Or you can use something like this:

use the supplied tether from the AX860i to strap the two linking systems together.
