help with my replacement keyboard (MSI)

kuzko

Hello everyone,

I own a msi Gt70 gaming laptop, and I broke my Z key plastic underneath the cap so I have to change the whole keyboard... (YAY MSI SUCKS !)

So I bought a replacement keyboard for it on ebay (MSI sucks, once again, by not selling spare parts in EU) and mistakenly (the seller made a mistake by sayng ms1762 and is now not anymore on ebay) bought a keyboard that reveals to be for the Ms1673 models while I have the ms1762 (my model is GT70-0NC), and when I replace the old keyboard where the Z is broken by the new one, my layout is broken : the space issending backspace, A is AltGr, * is sending up key while y is sending down....

What can I do?

oh and i'm on windows 8.1 and msklc doesn't work...

thank you for reading...

Buy a wireless mac keyboard or any super slim kb,
remove the original keyboard from the laptop
take the shroud off the mac keyboard or keep it if it fits
put the wireless keyboard in the hole
plug the usb receiver
enjoy
