it's a cheap cooler, it outperforms the stock cooler easy. It's good for moderate overclocks.

Something like a

kills the Hyper 212 EVO easy, and is more silent

one of the best price/performance coolers on the market would be the big brother

nearly as good as a Noctua NH-D14

This cooler is so far has the best performance to price ratio because this budget cooler cools well and can achieve some minor overclocking.

i would say it really depends on where you live! 212 evo costs 30$USD but also 30€

thermalright Macho costs 32/36€ ( 120mm and 140mm version. ) but 47/55$USD

but i don't really know whats up with that. I mean CPU coolers are all build somewhere in asia.

Well good cooler when you look at performance/price ratio, easily suitable up to 4.6ghz IMO

It's a cooler known for it's price/performance.

I really dropped in just to say your profile picture made me chuckle.

It's a good cooler, but I would hardly call it silent.  Cooler Master has fans that tend to vary from person to person in terms of noise.

Mine, for instance, is really freaking loud.

I love that cooler, my old 2500k that I had at 4.5ghz, max temps were 75º C (push/pull). Right now it's on my 3770k.

I wouldn't call a 2500K old. There is a small performance difference in the newer generations. Linus was talking about this last night in the livestream.

My build:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.0GHz Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 RAM: 12GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Storage: Samsung 120GB 840 SSD Cooling: Corsair H100 with Noctuas Case: Fractal Arc Midi R2

I built my friend a 3570k system and at stock clocks it have never gone above 50 for him while in game. I wouldnt say its silent but it is pretty darn quiet. It took 4 hours to put it on though.
