Yeah, in my opinion, rap music is shit.

 

EDIT: But it depends. All of the stuff you posted was shit IMO, though I have fond memories of listening to Biggie when I was little.

Oh, rap that's actually good..it's been awhile since those days. Now it's autotuned bullshit about tits and ass or money.

I swear I can only think of one "mainstream" song of today off the top of my head that's not about love, sex, money, or butts. And that's Radioactive by Imagine Dragons

Eh, this one seems more about achievement. Close to money, but a little different. You can thank Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for drilling this song into my head.

 

Macklemore's Same Love is more about our identites, well, sexual identities and our acceptance of ourselves and others.

 

Same with Follow Your Arrow by Kacey Musgraves.

 

There's Demons by Imagine Dragons which is more about our dark sides. Heh heh... "Yaoi" is part of it's URL... Heh heh...

My personal opinion of rap music is that I don't like most of it (or at least modern attempts at it), that being said however the tracks posted above are top notch. I've always been more of a Rock/Metal fan. Early Eminem will hold a special place for me.

But macklemore is a genius if you actually listen to the words the guy is one of the very few mainstream rappers that actually talks about one thing throughout an entire song, not only that but actually makes sense doing it.

90's rap is my favorite tho to very early 2000's rap.

Agreed. Most of the people I know listen to his songs for the catchy tune or that it's a white guy with decent rhymes, but I do see the deepness in the whole song. Same Love for example was a big one for me, cause well, I'm not accepted well sometimes, if you know what I mean
