Can anyone interpret/diagnose this BSOD (bsview readout)

Askew
Go to solution Solved by Askew,

this thread has descended into lunacy but @Jobbe03 @MyInnerFred @helping @terrytek

I noticed the shadowplay icon was appearing and disappearing while gaming (just the idle icon) so I uninstalled geforce experience software and now the issue has stopped happening. (I've been playing Witcher 2 for the last 4 hours, before it only lasted 10mins between crashes)

Odd, I personally wish they'd make shadowplay a seperate piece of software, it has a very limited GUI and I have to install the experience software I'm never going to use in order to use shadowplay.

Thanks for the responses everyone, it's gone for now so I'm assuming it was some kind of driver issue, maybe I'll run memtest overnight just to ensure the memory is fine.

This keeps happening, if I play Witcher 2 it will happen within minutes, some other games it doesn't happen at all, has happened at desktop once also.

All my drivers are up to date, the OS (W7 x64) install is fresh (3 weeks), and I have run memtest86+ no errors in 2 passes.

Loosen timings on your ram after a stress test. Then let us know how it runs.

I've had the same issue before, its usually ram instability.

Loosen ram timings, or try changing the Command Rate of your ram from 1T, to 2T.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Hmm, I never changed them from stock it's just using the XMP profile it came with, do you really think that could be the issue?

Any particular reason to recommend Memtest86 over Memtest86+?

Nope

Yup it could definitely be the issue. My sticks aren't stable in XMP profile, I have to run them at lower speeds/timings for them to run stable.

XMP isn't always guaranteed stability.

OK I will do as you said and test it but that RAM has been running for nearly 2yrs in this machine with no issue, the newest addition is my MX100 SSD, I'm wondering it it could be faulty as that's the only thing that has changed about my system since the GTX 670 launched lol

Is your gaming running off of that SSD? The SSD really shouldn't be the issue though.

Any overclocking changes recently?

No the game isn't but the OS is and all the drivers live there.

No overclocking changes, the GPU is stock (reference 670 with stupid tiny pcb and crap cooler) and the CPU is 4.2Ghz and has passed thousands of hours of runtime and app use, the only change is that drive.

Is it possible for a drive to cause this? I just want to eliminate it if possible.
