I'm lead to believe that my PC keeps shutting down due to high temperatures. Even if it isn't, the lower temps will be nice, and in the future (about a year or so) I will hopefully be moving to water cooling.

I'd like some suggestions for suitable fans to buy for this. They need to work well without a radiator (being quiet isn't a huge problem since I wear headphone but it'd be nice if they're a little quiet) and then when I do install them on a rad, be able to perform well. I'm open to painting them to match my case so colour scheme isn't a huge problem either.

Does anybody have a good suggestion? I can get 120mm or 140mm fans. I don't expect to pay more than £25 for a set of two. I'm in the UK, by the way.

Corsair fans are around that price aren't they?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

My GPU keeps overheating in my case, and I'm lead to believe it's due to high temperatures.

As opposed to overheating due to low temperatures? :D

Corsair AF140's work excellent for intake of fresh air and exhaust of heated air. On the radiators I would not know a good set off the top of my head though I have 1 friend that swears by using SP120's on his radiator.

Well since you are in the uk, go to overclockers.co.uk and get some noiseblocker blacksilent pros, they are hands down the best fans you can possibly get for the money.

 Pretty.......

for you, i think the "boring" corsair sp quiet fans will do great :)

Haha, you saying I'm boring?

As opposed to overheating due to low temperatures? :D

I noticed that and changed it. Was hoping nobody would see...

I think after what everyone's said, I'll buy AF fans now and use them for passive cooling of the case. Once I get water cooling in there, I'll just buy an SP set or see if there's something else that's better. Or the other option is the Noiseblockers. How are they when put on a rad?

I'll be your fan! I love @MrTomnus! I'm a fanboy now.  :D

Umm, I can't tell if you're being serious or not...

Enermax twister pressure 120mm fans seem decent, and are sub £10 each I think. Otherwise corsair SP fans, or for 140mm the corsair AF 140mm fans would do well I think. Some silverstone AP 121 fans if you can find them for the right price would be a good bet as well, even if not on a radiator.

Can anybody tell me of these Corsair fans are 4 pin or not? I like them for the LEDs, and I'll want to use them as part of my big build, once I get the money for it, of course...

I decided to buy two AF140 fans. Later, I'm going to buy myslef a fan controller and hook all of my fans up to it so I can have the noise and cooling just the way I want it :)

Thank you to everyone for helping!
