Well it's not really "Promotion of advertising someones YT channel" he's not @felixthemaster1 tooting on this guy called Dan's horn. It's a tiny bit promoting to watch his video but nothing harmful. I don't agree with you, he's just wondering whether anyone has a common taste in his interests.

Like @TheSLSAMG mentioned, there was a top gear thread, so I thought I'd see whether there were Linus fans who were also Dan fans. Seems like 40% of the replies to off topic disscussions complain about it being off topic.
