Cryorig H5: hyper 212 is now DEAD

brownninja97

Sure but $20-25 USD is about $22-27 CAD. Prices are also generally lower in america and i'm not talking about the U.S to CAD conversion. The average price for a 212 in Canada is $30.

I'm Canadian lol I bought mine for $22 after tax

I'll wait for the benchmarks. Also, will there be enough stock for everyone. Hyper 212 is always readily available.

Im all for Cryorig!, used the R1 Ultimate for a mates rig and that thing is freaking sweet!

Im also using a C1 in a mini ITX build im currently doing for someone and so far the performance is sweet too.

But i still love my CM V8 GTS to death to change it to a diffrent cooler!

The c1, nice...

Do you think that the c1 is better than the noctua ITX fan cooler (forgot the name)? Getting a NCASE M1 soon

Selling my parts of my 900D rig for a jacked up Ncase M1. PM me for offers if interested (will take some reasonable-low offers because I'm desperate).

I wonder why everyone on here loves the Hyper 212 so much..

Cheap, easy to fit in most cases, good performance, and most importantly of all, availability. You can recommend it to anyone virtually anywhere in the world and they'll be able to get their hands on it.

Yes but you have to consider taxes. In the UK, prices include VAT. In USA and Canada, you have to add your state/province/federal sales taxes ontop. Here in Ontario, that's an additional 13%. That's $53.11 USD assuming similar sales tax (varies per state). Converting that into GBP via today's exchange = $31.45 GBP.

The AM3+ mounting for the 212 is a joke. It's like coolermaster have never even tried it for themselves. Or they tried and went "Meh, good enough".

I've done it quite a few times and I've never had the issues some people infer. Though, we typically see many more sold and many more recommendations for the cooler than we see concerns with the mounting mechanism.

We're happy to help if you or anyone are having trouble, though :)

Taxes brah. GBP includes VAT (taxes) in the pricing, so add in whatever state + federal sales taxes are applicable to your location to that $46.99.

lol hyve technology to reduce turbulence and slingshot thing?!?

WOW they rly DONT know anyhting about heat transfer.

Turbulent air is about tons better than laminar flow ask any one who knows anythign about heat transfer

also 10mm fan? you need static pressure to push thru a decent cooler, maybe this one doesn t need tho...

I rly hope it s all useless marketting PR, because, if they did design somethign aroudn that they ll be VERY disapointed when they test it out,

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.

I might buy one of these :)

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Sorry, but 212 can be bought for around $20-$25 USD, and this thing is $50 USD? The 212 isn't dead and it won't ever be dead until CM kills it off or comes out with a new one.

At the price point of $50 I might as well save a bit more and get a Noctua cooler or a AIO.

In the UK it kills it, I think it;s like 4 GBP more expensive.

In america it's more expensive because they gotta ship it overseas.

Not my problem then, I'll just get a Noctua cooler for that price then. The D15 looks as good or better than it.
