Sayre-PC

Sayre-Laptop

Sayre-HTC

Etc.

Boring huh.

If speaking out loud I just refer to the devices as my computer, my phone etc.

Everything at one point or another is called "worthless piece of *&%#"

I shall call my next build The Divide by Zero Maelstrom of Doom, a potential armgageddon of copper and silicon. Or maybe not.

I name mine after what they are to be used for, that way they are easy to find on the network. So, it's basically really simple: LINUS{$}

LINUSMAIN

LINUSWORK

LINUSMEDIA

LINUSSTORAGE

LINUSPORTABLE

LINUSPORTABLEWORK

LINUSEMERGENCY (this one had the pleasure of turning into a folding@home PC yesterday, so it's maybe due for a name change if it manages to do its job well enough :D)

Cheers,

Linus

Uhm... Am I sad? I name my computers like so:

J-MAIN-DD-MM-YY

J-SERVER-DD-MM-YY

DD-MM-YY being the date that I last installed Windows onto that machine. J being the initial of my first name. Obviously 'MAIN' and 'SERVER' depict which computer it is.

That's awesome! I can never keep track of how old my installations are, I might have to implement this in my naming scheme in the future.

Cheers,

Linus

Hahaha! It was mainly because I used to name them as such: John-Server-PC or John-Main-PC. However, I often reformat my computers and keeping track of which is the current installation in my router's settings becomes difficult. That naming scheme solved that problem.

I call it my computer. I personally don't see the point in naming it. Might as well name my refrigerator while I'm at it...
