Coolermaster gx 650w question

Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

I think that i can get a Seasonic m12 II 550w.

i was planning to oc a little bit the cpu (to 4Ghz maybe). Would 550w be enough then?

plenty

Hi! and sorry in advance for my english... i should have paid more attention in class back in school.

I currenly have a Coolermaster gx 650w here and i know that it has really bad reviews, but i am wondering if it would handle a gtx 780 and 4690k with a corsair h100i? (also a ssd and a hdd).

It is really hard to find a good psu here (Argentina), all i can find is cheap crap like Sentey and Thermaltake OR some expensive ones like Seasonic Platinum 1000W

i friend of mine told me that he can get me a Corsair rm 750 or a cs750m... neither of them have good reviews either (as far as i know)

Should i use that coolermaster, buy one of the Corsair or wait a miracle and buy something like a Seasonic m12 II?

take the Seasonic m12 II

you will be fine with 500-550 watts

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

A PSU over 500W will be good enough. Seasonic is the best. Corsair PSUs are very good quality. Thermaltake is not cheap crap either, not sure where you're getting your information from.

only the lowest tier of thermaltake can be found here. A friend of mine had troubles with a 550w unit with only a hd 4950 and 2 hard drives

Anyway, i will get the Seasonic m12 II 520w.

Thanks to all of you!
