Upgrading my rig, looking for opinions/ideas

Ive got about a budget if $1000-1500 to upgrade my rig. Some of my thoughts are to replace my gpu's with a single 780ti or 290x. Other thoughts include either switching out my ram for 2 4x8gb sets (i would be using part of the ram for a ram disk and video production and other activites; not just gaming), better monitor than my current 1080p asus, custom lighting and better fans, this ones kinda out there but if i can find a buyer for my 4930k, maybe getting an extreme edition cpu (like i said at the bottom of the idea list). Any other ideas/thoughts appreciated.

Id get ddr3 2400. I'd pick up the evga 1300 g2 PSU, get the swiftech h320 from ncix, I'd buy a WD red or black drive, get a better wifi adapter like the pcie Asus pc68, and the sound card is debatable but I prefer sound blaster zxr or zx. Lastly a mechanical keyboard would be better but that's per user.

I like the ram, sound card, and hdd ideas. I need to re format my current ssd's to download my os on them and setup a raid 0 config. Then maybe get another hdd or to and set those up in a raid config. I might try to sell my current ram and get some 2400 ram either a single our double 32gb kit. My sound card is pretty good, but it does seem to have some software issues where 5.1 surround only works if I set it up as 7.1 surround. So it may be worth upgrading. As for the psu, the current one I have is more than enough for what I have or if I wanted to drop the 280x's I have now and get a single 290x or 780ti. But it is a thought if I wanted to crossfire/sli in the future, but I would probably go with the corsair 1500 budget permitting. I don't have any current issues with the built in wifi adapter in the RIVBE. It's of good quality I believe by intel or maybe killer? I can't remember at this time. I'd rather not clutter up my pcie ports anymore, but it would be a good idea if I didn't have a built in adapter.

As good of an idea as this is, I don't think I can upgrade my computer with a nice restaurant :P although you do make we want to go out to dinner later tonight. I believe the restaurant down the road from me has their prime rib on sale Mondays.

What are you even unhappy with?

Get a second monitor maybe and donate the rest to charity/a family member/some good food idk

A second monitor is something I've been looking to do for a while. My current gpu setup isn't strong enough for much above 1080p so I am thinking of upgrading my gpu to a 290x and either getting a 4k monitor now downscaling graphics and settings until I can afford another 290x or getting a 2k or 3k monitor and using native resolution. And as a side note, I actually do donate to charity both in form of money as well as time. Twice a week at two different non profit organizations. So I actually respect that idea.

You can sell a lot of your current stuff on eBay. I would buy what you want now and sell your stuff, but don't just offload it (sell for really cheap just to get rid of it). Pick up a second monitor (dual 1080p monitors helps a lot for productivity). And then get a 290x (or wait a couple weeks for the new 800 series if they are really coming out). The other upgrades don't need to happen if what you really need is more screen space and a better GPU. If I am reading correctly you have dual 280x right now which will kill a 290x so I really think for the next year you could do without an upgrade there.
