Is Graphic's Card's Drivers Differ By O.S. ?

Hello everyone , I was just asking if the Drivers differ so much from for example Windows 8.1 From Windows 8

Because I can't find any Drivers for my Gtx 780 On Nvidea's site for Windows 8.1

Using Geforce experience 

Should I Downgrade to windows 8 ?

download from the website directly

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Not entirely since 8.1 has its own standalone service pack and updates for it are different.

Windows 7 SP1 = Windows 7.1

 

Windows Vista SP2 = Windows 6.2

CPU = A10 6800K (@4.3Ghz) / GPU = HD 8670D (@844mhz/ram@1866mhz) - 2016 ≠ Dual Cores - why learn Linux ? - OLD intel x4 cpu (Q6600) + amd HD 7950 - this is what i think on watts x dollar cost - CPU "bottlenecks" only start to show "at the super high end cards" (like the 390) if you have a 4 cores CPU

yes if you want to.

Windows Vista Retail build number is 6000 ,SP1 6001 ,SP2 6002.

Windows 7 retail build number is 7600 (beta starts from 7100 if i remember right) SP1 is 7601

Windows 8 retail 9200 and 8.1 is 9600

build number increases with thousand when its a new release while updated or upgraded releases have smaller increases.
