RATE THE PC SPECS ABOVE YOU :)

thetechdude

6.5/10 (I rate harshly), R9 280 isn't a very good option compared to say the 280x. Z68 is outdated.

lol You rate basing on the motherboard? The R9 280 is overclocked so it actually beats the 280X at stock, the difference is like, 256 Stream Processors?

How is there CPU throttling?.... An i5 is more then capable enough. I get the same exact scores on bench marks meant for graphics with an i7 5960X as I do with the 4690k.... The number of lanes does not change between a 4690k and a 4790k. I see that comment all of the time. CPU throttling and CPU bottleneck.... And 90% of the time, it isn't correct.

The cpu is capable. but there chipset is not. IT only supports 16 pcie lanes. 3 cards will not run very well.

Actually nvidia cards will not run at 4x so with only 16 PCI lanes, you can only do two sli. Amd cards with run at 4x though. My mother board has. PLX chip in it which gives it I believe 32 lanes. It supports 4 way sli and even says it on the box.

Pretty good, id say you put too much or your budget into the GPU and CPU, I'd would have put more in for like a better Motherboard instead of the GTX 980 and you might want to get a higher wattage PSU just so that if you ever want to get another GPU for SLI or Crossfire, you can easily support it.

CPU: Intel i7-5820K Six-Core 3.30GHz 15MB Smart Cache Over clocked to 4.00GHz
