Not really, just their cheap stuff. Their high end stuff is really quite good.

Agree. Want me to post the original specs of my Acer M3910?

Be prepared for crappy parts. I'll actually start off with the good ones.

i3-550

Lite-On optical drive

And an SD card reader

Now the bad ones.

Crappy H57 board with a green PCB

Hitachi 1 TB HDD which had some serious problems (I had to replace it with a WD Blue)

GT330

Crappy case (back of it was unpainted, PCIe slots were covered with metal plates)

Delta 300W PSU

Oversized air cooler with it's intake directed towards the side panel

An 80mm fan mount

Aaaand a Delta 300W PSU

Ugh. Why am I still using these? YES I BOUGHT TWO!

Asus has done a lot of innovating for enthusiast PCs to more mobile products. Their build quality and design are mostly pleasing....T100's back *shriek*. From what I've noticed Asus doesnt use the best screens for laptops but compensate with better hardware or battery life. Still good value

Acer has some very aesthetically pleasing laptops.

Lenovo can really pack some value some major value into their products. They also have been quick to put out laptops that use new features and are quality. I hate when manufacturers keep revising product lines that should have been done better in the first place.

Gigabyte pretty much started Micro buisness PCs; I could be wrong though. Alienwares X51 is a very decent micro gaming PC thats been around for awhile.

AMD's recent APUs are great value. Im suprised the gaming that the higher end APU's can put out. Before this Intels HD graphics 4000 and + series have been reasonable for gaming.

this is subjective though and I dont know all the nooks of the technology world. No haterino plz

edit: Just thought of apple. While iOS platform doesnt suit my needs (gaming lawls), their products are absolutely magnificent. I don't know how anybody could say a macbook air isnt impressive. Also Macs were OG SSD users, and now that flash memory prices have went down, they look even more attractive. They also do screens right.
