LTT Forums CPU Overclocking Database!

I've got a screen shot on CPU-Z: http://valid.x86.fr/5nzep7

It's unstable as anything, but do I need more for you to put it on the table?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

I'd prefer stable entries, as suicide clocks aren't really the goal of the DB here. If you have the time, why not try and get it back to a point where it's stable and submit your entry? :)

we had some strong databases back in the day. If only we could go on a trip down memory lane, when the trees glistened and 8 hours testing was mandatory, oh what a feeling :)

Mad jeally. Did you get that computer chip from mem express or order online?

people say motherboards dont affect performance.

you will never get those results on cheap boards.

cpu z is showing the low voltage cause i took the screenshot after the the test where it was going idle mode, its the newest version.

I got the cpu from newegg when haswell first came out.

Cinebench is there with the link to it in the extra info :P

Thanks :D

your not far off from taking second place on the r15 doc, couple little tweaks like jumper suggested and im sure its yours.  your only 8 points off :)

well if your bored today

add entry to CB 11.5

push for first place on r15 and 11.5 gpu

My 3770K does 5Ghz before breakfast.... 1.344V man. It's not a big feat on Ivy. I had a chip that could do 5.5Ghz unstable but would boot before.

Gonna submit mine. If i haven't already.. It's a tad old of a bench. However i'm gonna redo it tonight.

Yo Big D!

Nice little 1:1 you got going there.

Thank you for submitting a stable result to the DB, you make me proud.

Whats up with your mem chips? 800mhz CL5 am I reading that right or possibly digitally challenged board? lol

what are the mem chips clocked at?

you plan on running adaptive voltage?

edit- no cinebench r15 entry?

Adaptive voltage is certainly on my future agenda, I intend to build a NAS server and get all my music and movies protected,

then I will not worriy about failures. Until the funds are banked to replace stuff I tear up, I'll be gentle with this hardware.

Once I have a second cpu bought and paid for, I'm gonna de-lid this one (I think it's a keeper).

My memory is 2 - 8GB sticks of 1600(C10) Corsair Vengence, for this OC I had them clocked @ 800 5-5-5-14.

I love the little numbers, they remind me of my first ventures into computer building ;)

Hi,

I already have submitted my overclock here but i thought i could easily go for something higher so i'd like to edit my entry for me.(or let me know if i should redo the whole thing)

Shoot! i forgot to open the real temp! Anyway, everything is already in the OCCT. AVG temp is 77C with 1.195vcore @4.7ghz and cinebench score is 651.( http://i.imgur.com/3RzjRYr.jpg )

Would be nice if you would upload another entry, I feel like 2 stable ones (especially with the 6 hour test, THANK YOU BTW!) would be better than just updating your current entry! :)

Out of my 2 machines, my i7 3770k clocks higer stable than 4930k.

Im too impatient to run over 6hour run or even over 30mins.

My 3770k is one nice batch, L249B668 but im afraid my AsRock Z77E-ITX mainboard is on the limits here since i can do 5.2Ghz @ 1.35v @ Asus MVE Watercooled, with this AsRock board going to 5.2Ghz causes instant bsod no matter how high i push voltages.

So decided to play around some with my Althon X2 64... Normally it runs at 2.7Ghz stock and I have it running stable at 2.9Ghz...

However the memory was set for a CPU to NB ratio of 9 x 200 (1800Mhz)... So I decided to check stability on 10x200 (2000 Mhz).. Stable, then went one step up from that 11x200 (2200 Mhz)... Stable

So my question is this.. NB = North Bridge right? What does it do to increase the speed of the NB?

Thanks everyone

**BTW this isn't running any benchmarks at the moment, just surfing the web, playing Warframe or watching videos...**

**Cooling is a Zalman 90mm Air Cooler...**
