LTT Forums CPU Overclocking Database!

Submitted in my 4770k, but for some reason that bus speed in the database reads 170 MHz. Could you please correct it to 100 MHz?

Sure thing :)

I submitted what I had, I degraded my CPU quite heavily whilst being at 5ghz, I'd rather not do it again to make sure I have ALL of the pictures.

When/ if I get the 3970x from the store, I'll do another then with all the right pics.  (sorry for the hassle, if I don't get on the list I understand)

You'll stay on for sure, maybe with just an unverified marking (haven't looked at the submissions yet) I'll look at what you submitted when I get home  :)

I did some benchmarks at 5ghz, but it degraded my CPU from 1.545v for 5ghz, to not even booting into windows without 1.57v, I don't trust my CPU enough to do that to it again, :(

When I get the 3970x from the store (If I get enough from tax returns), I'll do TONS of benchmarks with that and re-post another submission :)

Why a 3970x? Oo most of them only do 4.6-4.7GHz with 1.45V..

hi im a noob at overclocking so i used cpu level up to overclock to 4.2Ghz i pretty sure i seen it would be ok as long as the temp stayed below 90C

at the most i saw it jump to 81C never any higher, core voltage is at 1.280 v

has asetek lclc cooling system at least thats what its say on the cooler (pc was bought this way long time ago)

am i ok ?

As long as you can fill in the required info fields, then yes :) Please make sure you stress test it too! :)

Will need to stress test tonight, maybe tomorrow, but my i7 4770k is sitting at 4.2GHz with a max temp of 79 in Prime95. I forget what the Vcore is right now... may try to push hit harder!

  • 4 weeks later...

Is there anyway you can add the ability to sort the DB listing by processor so you can drill down on the processor your looking to overclock and get an idea of the posibilities for your chip?

Corsair Obsidian 750D | Intel i5-4560k @ 4.4Ghz | Corsair H100i with Stock Fans | Gigabyte R9 280 3GB OC

Unfortunately, being entries are added automatically, I can't :( The best thing i could suggest would be to just ctrl+f and search for the processor model.

awesome melty.

its been interesting to view the doc since you have color coded things. everything in purple seems to all line up freq \ voltages \ temps.  cant believ how many are in the red zone.I like to keep it purple.

then we have this guy who shouldn't be overclocking at all. his stress test ran 7 minutes, how did he earn a yellow badge?

his cpu is actually throttling when he took the screenie lol

no worries.

i had a good laugh. guy actually submitted a screenshot with the cpu throttling pretty heavy and he thought he was getting 4.0GHz. p95 was defiantly overvolting his cpu and most certainly his cooler was not mounted proper or he was on a stock hsf. lol

I'm testing my E8400 @3.8GHz right now. I had it unstable at 4.6GHz earlier, due to my cheap 667MHz RAM is having difficulty running above 1000MHz.
