First time watercooling (copper tubing)

hello,

This is the first time watercooling and im not sure if i got everything i need.

Any recommendations?

Any tips 'n tricks for working with copper, i think i got the basic things like a copper bender and the tools to cut it etc.

This will all be going in a 250D

(this is kinda a repost, but since my previous post was about my whole system and this is only about my watercooling, i hope this can pass 'the reposts bill')

What about this vrm /cpu block? -snip-

seeing that i cant get a hold of the bitspower 'variant' of the bock and because it looks like they both cool the same things, i went with the EK one (they look pretty much the same to me)

first time watercooling and using copper tubing on an mITX build is gutsie, but looking for failure.

any assembly of tubing runs should be tested exterior of the build. since you have no other

experience in this type of a build all precautions should be taken to ensure NO LEAKS.

good luck.

I like it when people are ambitious... but first I´d rather start with a much more basic custom setup. Using normal rubber tubes and standard fittings is a much more saver way.

But hey if you have enough expirience with watercooling (doesn´t really have to be in computer industries), go for it and show us what you´ve got :)!

I use EK parts in both of my loops and couldn´t be happier :).

The only thing that I personally prefer rather than a DDC pump would be a D5 pump, just because of the higher waterflow and better lifetime. My D5´s are both variable which reduces noise levels even better.

Fan wise will many people have many opinions, mine is eLoop 12-4, their bionic blade design is perfect for watercooling because of their high static pressure... and white fans look damn cool :).

Good luck with your project.

Saate over on the OCAU forums did a copper build recently, which lead him to develop fittings for the AU/US as we both use imperial for plumbing. Whilst this wont apply for you as you are in the EU. But he does have some very good insights into the process.

The page has a lot off tips and links to other copper builds.

@VirtualNinja @Najuno @airdeano

thanks for the advice. I will still try copper tubing, but i'll have some acrylic tubing in case that doesnt work (ive worked with acrylic / glass before in chemistry class)

You'll see if i succeed in my build log.

Cool bro go for it :) can´t wait to see pictures!

If you need help with anything let me know, I´ve got years expirience in watercooling.
