In need of some serious help ASAP

so i posted on here about a week ago about upgrading my cpu and using my multi bios switch on the motherboard i replaced my cpu today with a 3570K switched the bios to B on my M-Power Z77 finished up my watercooling plugged everything in as per usual and it wont boot just starts for about 5 seconds the de bug led shows 15, 19, 20 then shuts off i have no idea whats wrong other than maybe the bios isnt up to date but that shouldnt really matter because ive never switched that board to B mode bios before also nothing displays on the monitor

could this be a dead chip?

or have i screwed up somewhere

Try switching the BIOS back to your initial settings. B mode should be a second BIOS profile, so switching it back to A should allow you to have the same settings as before.

Check the reference book. Should have some info on those numbers.

Just asking, why did you switch the bios switch when you installed the 3570k

Could that code be a problem?

Actually it sounds like your motherboard doesn't support your CPU with the current BIOS version. Try using another CPU temporarily, update the BIOS and put the new CPU back.

It might be, what bios do you have?

the motherboard bios is %100 up to date even checked today before i tested and for an overclocking motherboard shouldnt a unlocked cpu be supported as ive seen this combination quite a few times

All the Bios versions on the Mpower board support the 3570k, even the beta bios does

I have a question, did you go from bios 17.4 or 17.5 to 17.7 or 17.8, or did the board already come with the latest bios?

when you updated it, did you go strait from 17.5 to 17.7 or 17.8, basically what Im asking is, did you skip 17.6? and when did you update your bios?

Im pretty sure that what they meant was that you had to flash the latest bios to the B Chip, then upgrade the CPU and move the switch, so if sth goes wrong with BIOS B you still have the BIOS A and the old cpu to reflash the BIOS.

You just need the latest BIOS to be flashed, you dont need to flash evey BIOS untill you flash the latest, its not like a Windows Update, its a full rom flashed, so theres no point of doing the intermediate updates.

exactly what I was asking :), I think when he did that he bricked his bios, when I was trying out the board to see if I could mod flash it with a hackintosh bios, I bricked  it, it was not the mod bios I used, it was the fact that I went from 17.5 to 17.7 skipping 17.6, which caused it to do the same thing he his having problems with, just booting up for 5 seconds then repeating it over and over
