Zalmans dual impeller fans are here

brownninja97

to make these fans seem more dramatic.

195d.jpg

So this is the new zalman fan, featuring nemo fins, hell yeah, love those things. Anyways the role of the nemos will reduce the deadzone in the middle of the fan.

The bearing is a polymer style which is zalmans replacement to fluid bearing because those things suck ass in the long run, they believe it will run for 500,000 hours or 20000days

Now the LED in the middle can be turned on or off but im not sure how that works.

Furthermore its manufactured in a reversed style, the result of that is that the is a built in controller even with a three pin which has a few basic configs like setting the fan to 800,1200 or 1600rpm, you can still do your other standard stuff if the fan is thrown in a four pin socket as its pwm.

Its said to push up to about 63.7cfm at a dba of 33.

No information on prices.(zalmans fans are cheap, this is likely to follow that trend)

Ok so there is a button for controlling the rpm, could be a problem if that button gets covered somehow.

It doesn't have a frame, Linus doesn't care. :( I hope he considers a review because they are somewhat special?

Btw. The button in the middle is just dumb. Imagine i want a red/black build that's silent. Too bad!

Edit: oh apperantly the LED doesn't change with the fan mode, it's blue only. Well no red build either...

The reversed design is interesting...

who cares...

I call shenanigans on a bearing that lasts 57 years, unless these cost a small fortune. Cheapo CM fans burn out after 3 years and better quality fans like Noctua last like 10 if you're lucky. What kind of black magic does Zalman have access to?

They will... if you wont use them. Time will destroy them after 57 years if you leave then rot on the shelf.

I found that confusing as well, there is conflicting information with this fan for some reason on some other sites.

They ran tests half a century ago to prove it.
