Transparent rads.

Not that i know of. I mean, what material should they be that has good heat dissipation stuff?

.graphene is insanely expensive to make and used for nano applications. Not a big ass radiator, it is by definition one atom thick.

 

Don't count on transparent radiators being possible any time soon, nevermind actually available.

Lol, I guess you could make a transparent rad out of plastic...but the temps would be stupidly high

Yeah... Those would be an engineering marvel, if you ask me. I don't really think there are any metals that are transparent, and plastic has shitty thermal transfer, and if you were to make the fins out of copper or something it would probably look kinda ugly.

1. Transparent Aluminum is a thing (it does exist), but I don't think they could make a rad out of it.

2. Glass would be possible and would actually probably work, but frigg'in CRAZY fragile.

at one time, aquacomputer used lexan for end tanks for their airplex radiators and

swiftech has some clear end tanks, but for a completely transparent core, nope.

Glass is a bit of an insulator so no, it won't work very well...unfortunately.

@Bagmup Generally speaking is that not good for thermal distribution? Water makes a terrific insulator for heat as an example, as does aluminum. Would'nt anything that gains and loses heat well work fine as a rad?

Unfortunately your Rad would only be "invisible" for about 40 femtoseconds (whatever the hell that is) and only under conditions that would kill most humans (Xray's, you would at the least get cancer instantly lol)

You're confusing insulator with conductor.

 

Water and aluminium are great conductors, not insulators.
