Ice cube makers in fridges.

 

Moved into a new place and our fridge has a tray in the freezer that is always filled with ice cubes. Perfect when we have get togethers and need ice for drinks. Just reach in and you're good.

No more waiting for it to freeze, breaking them apart, losing all that space to trays, etc.

I used to think they were pointless, but man. I was wrong. I never want to live without one.

 

Do you guys have anything similar that you've recently discovered and never want to live without now?

A microwave. I'm not joking..I've never had a microwave in my apartment, but now it's like how did I live without one?

The water for those is pretty terrible though, at least in the handful of fridges I've tried it in.

Guess it depends where you live. BC water is pretty top rated in the world. So even stuff out of the taps tastes excellent.

Haha, in California I think tap water has passed through 6 people or something before it gets to you? Something awful like that..

Totally know what you mean! I can live either way, but being able to have steamed vegetables in a matter of minutes is awesome.

...that's really the only thing I use our microwave for. That, and defrosting frozen chicken breasts.
