Corsair "Linus Edition" SP120 and SP140 LED Fans

4Strings

You can tell that the SP 140s are not that pressure optimized because THEIR FRAME IS STILL ROUND! :D

Also 1.17 mmH2O isn't all that much at 1440 rpm. bequiet's silent wings 2 have 0.87 mmH2O at 1000 rpm, and i would consider them strict air flow fans.

who cares...

So no normal SP140s? Only Led? ಠ_ಠ

Exactly! :D

Their LED design fans aren't my favourite when they first released, the sp140s are no exception.

who cares...

Good question... For the colored rings I would say that it's because Corsair deemed them unnecessary considering that the LEDs are colorful enough... But they have no excuse to leave out the rubber corners. I just hope that the images are just renders, and that the final fans will have them. If the don't, I don't care how "silence optimized" the motors are...

I had just figured that if they can do enough to have a different sticker for each coloured fan, they could make more coloured rings.

@LinusTech

But I seriously like the IndustrialPPC fans from Noctua more.

The master and I are on the same page, I think.

Most of us use an SSD+large HDD/s in our rig. The quitest HDD will be louder than any decent <800 RPM fan, so the quietness of these new products and premium fans in general is wasted. Of course, looks is a factor, and performance at that low rpm is there too.(but not that much better physics sais)

Just a heads up, this is not a repost This are SP LED fans so they are new.

Linus made a Video before on the AF LED fans.

Just for your information :)

There is also sp 140mm which there wasn't prior. The only thing these are really missing feature wise is PWM from what I can tell.

I care only for industrial Noctuas now, and I hate LEDs.

Yeah... but I really don't need to spend MORE on my computer, I just got my 6 F12's and 2 S12a's a few months back. Plus I want to SLI either NVidia or AMD's new flagship card. :/

Stupid awesome computer stuff. >.<

But does "redesigned rotors for improved efficiency [and] tuned for low noise." actually mean they will work well or...?

I guess we'll find out soon.

No, it means that the marketing department have run out of fancy engineering terms.

Finally, a fucking green fan! Now we just need Gigabyte to pull their shit together and go back to making green motherboards instead of those unexceptional red ones...

I want SP140 with a Red Ring on it. Why is that so hard? Everyone loves the rings, and they look good on radiators. So why not make them? Most Cases got 140mm Fan locations now.
