Oh yes must agree that is one good looking car however, Had a few mates who had one and was riddled with rust issues and electrical faults which has made me shy away from this car :( Its a shame, the french know how to design a car however building one ... they've yet to master that.

The really new ones have Nissan parts so they are quite reliable but the older ones are pretty much as bad as an PSA car.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

Yeah.. They are rare here too. I was so happy during the past few days since i was about to finalize the deal (getting a 11,000$ loan is not easy) And then he pulled out... Thankfully i could cancel the loan.

Im fairly sure i won't be able to find another one in that good condition with the larger K26-8 turbo and increased 2 bar boost pressure.. It felt absolutely fantastic to drive too. Like sex with a pornstar while eating a very expensive cake.

I guess i'll have to settle with a 924 for the time being and mod it instead..

Why did he pull out? sorry for that feeling :(

someone came in and offered him 15 for it. And to be honest it's worth it. No rust, Rebuilt engine, New sinter plate clutch (changing the clutch on a transaxle car is expensive and hard work)

225 tires in the rear, New stereo and speakers, Sport interiour, New shocks and track rods... 358 bhp at the rear wheels.. And it was re-painted in a gorgeous metallic white with matte black wheels...

Im a bit miffed that i did not take any pictures...

The worst thing about test driving it is that from the moment i heard the solid *Thunk* of the door closing and the smooth starting engine coming to life i've got to have one xD I just have to get my hands on one!

Yeah^^ the Einspritzung lives on :) Mechanical fuel injection for the win!

Yeah the mech injected merc/isuzu/pugeot diesels especially would run on any kind of heavy oil you could throw into them, used engine oil, vegetable oil (fresh or used/filtered) central heating oil any old shit put it in and it burns.

I used to have an old audi 80 tdi with the 1Z diesel in it, that thing was happy all year round on filtered used veg oil and a little bit of diesel/petrol/white spirit in there to thin it a bit, did lots of miles with no problems before I sold it, car stank of fish and chips and had this filthy mess of oily dust stuck to the car under the filler cap but always ran really nice and good MPG.

Also, the engine was significantly quieter running on vegetable oil, I'm not sure why maybe the viscosity maybe the composition IDK.

Haha^^ I ran my nissan pick up on veggie oil :D And yes it just makes everyone you pass by hungry :P

My benz is a petrol one though^^ I just love the smell of the 98 octane i put into it. And it sounds good for a 4 cylinder^^

You put 98 in that old thing? Most cars in UK are run on 95, but we have 99 from Tesco and Shell, and 97 from BP.

I ran my WRX on 99 (it was mapped on it) but I run my current old Accord on 95.

I nearly bought a 190E before but ended up with BMW E36 instead which I loved.

There is a sticker inside  the filler hatch that says "premium gas only" And it's got a noticable tick when run on 95. And there is a noticable difference in throttle response when i run 98 through it.

There is a plug i can take out and put back in a different orientation to run it on 95 but it's worth the 98^^ It seems to like shells V-Power petrol a lot

And that's  the common choices aren't they xD You either go for a 190E or 300E (w201 or w124 chassis) Or the E30 or E36.

My friend had an E36 convertible that we turbo'ed, Really nice car :)

Most of my "mods" aren't visible, or are just better replacement stuff - slightly stickier tires, Hawk HPS brake pads, custom alignment, delrin steering rack bushings, better lighting, synthetic fluids. The only thing that's really visible is my short throw shifter.

I lose interest pretty fast once I start adding up the prices on the things I'd like to do and comparing them to what my car is worth. I'll probably be trading in before the year's up.

I must say. Black and beige is usually a hideous combination. But that's quite nice to look at :)

And that's a good mod list as a start :)
