Gotta love ASRock marketing

Guest

During ASRock's presentation of their special Z97 boards for the G3258,

They once were marketing analog VRMs as Digi VRM, now they can make a G3258 hit 7.7GHz NBD.

Technically they are correct (the red represents 4.5ghz), but showing them on top of each other is SOOOO MISLEADING. Why is this even allowed?

There marketing team sure does know how to convince.....who exactly?

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

... wasn't there a thread (yesterday?) about some overclocker using liquid nitrogen and an asrock board to achieve over 7ghz from a pentium anniversary chip? Sure it's misleading, but if it's technically true can't really blame em

Everything said by me is my humble opinion and nothing more, unless otherwise stated.

They for sure didn't use the cheap-ass special Z97 boards that are being released, which the article focuses on and which ASRock claims, when used, can help the G3258 can hit 7.7....

So no, it's not true, not true at all unless someone actually bothers to try.
