Will a gigabyte motherboard fit in a dell precision 390 case?

Well, the precision 390 is actually pretty big, I can basically fit anything in it, but will a mid range gigabyte mobo work with it?

I have never seen the case, but it looks like you just answered your own question. You can always get a new case if it won't. That thing is pretty old. You would benefit from better airflow and better expand-ability.

I should be studying.

It depends on how the stock dell motherboard is configured. In my uncles precision e5-something, the rear I/O and the PCI-E slots are swapped around from a standard motherboard layout

But I'm not sure if airflow is that great.

According to that picture, you won't be able to fit a standard motherboard in there.

You can't rotate a standard mobo to fit that layout

You are right. Gives small headache to flip imaginary mobo around in my head.

why would you want to use a crappy Dell case anyway? you can get good Fractal cases for cheap these days.

Pls don't get $20 case. I just build in one of those and I rather pay $50-70 for a real case than save.

Well this would be had to determine unless you have the motherboard's layout, meaning the ATX, mATX etc.

This site has printable life sized scales of the different motherboard layouts. Find and print the one you want. What i think you also would need to know once it fits in the case is does the i/o and PCI slots line up and can you utilize all the PCI slots in the case.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
