Hi,

friend has bough some Acer laptop with OLED display maybe 4-6 moinths ago and his kids play a lot of Minecraft on it. The display has a big PLAY in the top center of the sceen clearly visible in all content. I don't think this is a burn-in issue rather an image retention. The issue is, I can't find any utility for pixel refresh or anything similar that would work on laptops. These things seem to be HW based on monitors.

Any clue how to proceed?

I dont think u can force a picture refresh on those laptops also it might be burn in image retention usualy should go away on its own when u use the display for mixed content on my samsung oled tv i also can see some retention after watching widescreen movies for example but even without a refresh that usualy goes away on its own after a while of watching fullscreen content if the kids had the Laptop running fullscreen on the launcher for very long it 100% can cause permanent burn in do u have a picture of it ?

I dont have a picture but I told him to use the "stuck pixel" remover where the subpixels rapidly change colors. Seems like that worked for now. It was only image retention.

It sucks that there seems to be no dedicated tool for this on laptops though.
