Eye of Sauron Found!

piggykid1
So I found this on Huffington Post Science and I heard this has to do with "Lord of the Rings" which I have never watched.

Enjoy :)

A "New Planet Hunter" found "a star engulfed in a dust ring". "The star is located 220 light-years away in the southern constellation of Centaurus." This star was discovered with the SPHERE which is a  "Spectro-Polarimetric High-contrast Exoplanet Research instrument" and scientists and astronomers hope to be able to use this technology to discover and be able to study new exoplanets people are saying this is just the beginning and will reveal many more exciting surprises.

Personally, I think this is really cool. Take note that I'm not a Lord of Rings fan, and have never seen one episode.I always like when new technologies are released especially with the new SPHERE instrument that can find new exoplanets.

This is the original article.

I will hopefully be posting more topics like this since I'm really into science and I hope to peak the interest of others.
