I think is because someone has searched  that specific word too many times and it has created a popular search,

and also someone created a posted video of one of the first live videos on youtube  with the title (Is LinusTechTips gay?) and also the description says: Canada's #1 PC tech guru isn't gay, but he doesn't mind if you think he is.

Yeah, I had this question as well. He's just very energetic which I think why people think that way.

 

A lot of people thing he is gay for some reason... I can kind of understand.
